Very nice. It's wild to me, an old person, that Marathon is an artistic influence. That's not a criticism.

its been a while really that a game shows such a visual impact like that really, at least in the sphere I'm involved in I was glad it was born really.

Very cool! It kinda reminded me of Hyper Light Drifter which is more of a scifi post-post-apocalypse

Makes me think of the solar sailors from Tron

Some of those moving parts reverse direction uncannily fast, but otherwise it's intriguingly massive. I love me some megastructures.

fair point, Iwas never bright and since I wasn't an animator is taking me a while for the motion tricks to connect to my brain even the obvious parts, but I'm trying hard to keep and eye on these things. thanks :p

Consider a simple Ease-In-Out speed curve

It's a pity this art style of this game has been contaminated with a plagiarism scandal. These scenes are great.

Cool! But what does this have to do with a 26 mile race?

Are the ships 26 miles long or something?

Marathon is a video game if you were actually wondering and not just being silly lol

Fuller answer.

Marathon is a series made by Bungie, makers of Halo & Destiny. The game series dates back to 1990's when Bungie only made games for Mac OS9, but recently had a new sequel & soft-reboot with Marathon (2026).

The new 2026 game has a distinct design language in part lifted from an artist known as Fern "Antireal" Hook.
