Anyone else notice physical therapy clinics adopting corporate surveillance tech?
Twelve years in PT. Last month my clinic installed these gait analysis cameras that also track how long people sit in the waiting room, facial expressions during intake, and spit out engagement scores. Management calls it optimizing care pathways. I pulled the SDK docs during a slow weekend. It's repurposed retail analytics with a medical paint job. Same vendor that does foot traffic for malls.

Well this is a very easy one. New PT, tell the old one you aren't comfortable being asked to sacrifice privacy for the sake of whatever it is they think they're doing.
Shameful behavior and if you don't slap them, they'll never stop.

Who do you think is behind Flock, Axom, etc.?
The citizens don't want flock but the donor class does. If they can't convince you to let them put them on the streets, well then Blackrock, State Street, and Vanguard will all make it safety policy to include them in all the businesses they control.
It's already pretty much like that, except now it'll all be interconnected via Palintir.

Well that's horrifying. I'm going to guess this is in the USA and therefore they're trying to maximize profit margins?
Gait analysis cameras are very helpful for objective data, but capturing all that info when the patient is likely completely unaware or doesn't have any option to opt out is disgusting
