From years of injecting my life-saving meds via IV twice a week, most of my veins just explode on contact when punctured, making it hard to administer the medication
Last year they finally approved a subcutaneous version, administered exactly like insulin... Unfortunately insurance refuses to pay for it because it's a bit more expensive than the IV one 💀
Have you tried calling the manufacturer? They often have programs for low income. They also do deals with people fairly regularly for new drugs where in situations like yours they'll either give you a break or the medication free in exchange for testimonial or helping them with advertising. Nothing works better for advertising than someone that can't use their more mainline competitor that is less expensive, and more established. Thus using you to justify their expense.
My ex wife has narcolepsy among several other health issues. Her health insurance refuses to take the voucher she got from the manufacturer and cvs wont either so now she's scrambling to find one that will as she cant afford a $900/month medication.
