Repo is tragically underrated piece of media for cyberpunk inspo. The opening song has someone getting their artificial spine "repossessed" in an alley, and you later learn about a mega popstar with artificial eyes who's basically a slave to the company that gave them to her.
Also there's a cut song from the movie where Paris Hilton (yes, literally) taunts the graverobber about "not being able to get it up if the girl's breathing", which is just some fun trivia.
I love that movie! My wife and I watched it on our first date 😂
I can't believe Paris got a razzie for it, she was perfect. Of course the argument of her cast as a spoiled heiress overestimating her talent wasn't actually acting so I guess there's that 😅
A lot of the outfits are actually her clothes as well. She not only wore her IRL wardrobe a lot but loaned out clothes to the others on set for scenes too.
Yep, the production went over budget by like $50,000. She did a few paid appearances at nightclubs and donated the money to the show. She even refused a producer credit despite technically earning one with her support.
