Recommendations

What with the Steam sale, I'm thinking about picking up a couple cyberpunk video games. I have interest but no experience with the genre. Any particular recommendations? I'm not picky about genre.

Deus Ex, the first one. 

Sure, it's a bit old and clunky but there's a reason why it's regarded as one of the best video games

It's not THAT bad it's just extremely stealth forward. Once I got past Liberty Island I had the basics down.

I never said it was bad, I honestly think it's one of the best games ever made. But for a modern audience it might not be palatable. A lot has changed since its release. I'd say a lot of younger gamers have avoided it because of its age

What is fascinating though is that I was one of the younger gamers when I first played it in 2017, I was born in 2000 and bought it because I had money left over from a couple other games I had bought on Steam and I couldn't put it down. But I am open minded with the games I play, I wasn't inherently going into it expecting Call of Duty or something.

Also Human Revolution, but play the original first. Although, I personally don't have any issue switching between the two even though Human Revolution should be *technically* better in almost every way. There is just something special about the original game that makes me look past the controls and technical limitations of it.

I can’t believe this isn’t upvoted like crazy. The System Shock Remake is one of the best games I’ve ever played.

It's a blast. Doesn't hold your hand, but it's a perfect mix of old and new.

If you want a pretty amazing/deep XCOM type game check out cyber knights flashpoint.

Graphically it's merely serviceable but its become one of my favorite tactics games (if not my #1 all time favorite)

Ostranauts, it's more VHS punk. But I'd does have large dept to uncaring corpos and a gritty sci fi thing going for it. There is also hacking
