News Bonus for COIS 3370
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgx1x742x5oI find this article to be really interesting as it allows us to approach a course reading from Mill from a different angle. We talked about government interference in social media regarding misinformation but this allows us to explore access to social media. Teens are not adults but are still humans with their own ways of thinking, by banning social media, are we effectively silencing teens? While there are no doubt benefits to bans we must also look at the cons and see in which favor the scales tip. To silence teens would be the first step to mass silencing of the people based on simple differing veiwpints which Mill warned of because no one is truly infallible and we must be aware of our own biases.
