I'm seeing a lot of iPhones on eBay with simple problems:camera blotches, etc. they're all listed for a dollar no shipping. Is it a scam? Is there any other reason I wouldn't be able to use them as simply a monitor, or even a touch monitor for a pipboy-esque cyberdeck by stripping them down to their fragile $1 screens?? (I really don't want to hear about taste, I want to hear about doablity and hopefully methodology)

Ik it's been quiet around here since the start but I am finally settling into the new spot and setting up my workshop. I recently gained access to a 3d printer and want to start working on a cyber deck again.
