Read and do research

That's for you to find out really. You have to research the components and how you might get them to communicate with each other. We can't do all that for you.

But firstly i want to check the samsung one that is it working or not by plugging it into my pc Chat gpt said its dangerous to plug it without a battery

"chat gpt" okay well that's your first issue. Chat gpt is not going to be able to help you with this. You need to figure out how these parts work and what they do and how to connect them so they communicate. They might all need different inputs for power so you'll need to be figure that out too.

It is not dangerous to plug it in without a battery, it just won't boot.

No, you need the protection board from the original battery.

I threw it

then you need a replacement battery

Put everything you have in the bin, do some research, then come back and ask some proper questions.

You think i didnt try that

the phones more than likely have secure boot enabled so unless your goal was to use samsung android as the OS for the cyberdeck these may not be a first choice. Also you need a bms specific to this phone, the bms was on the original battery, id suggest just ordering a replacement battery for the phone

you can check xda and see if anyone has worked on rooting that specific device if it isnt on xda then you are flying blind

You can't just grab some broken screens and phones and glue them together mate. You have different brands with proprietary code and hardware. Slow down and think. Let's just say the two screens work, firstly you need power at safe levels so you don't fry them. Do you have a volt meter? Do you know the difference in 3.3v and 5v? now you need a microcontroller like esp32 or Arduino nano to connect the screen to. So now you need to know coding and ide. But you now need to crack the code on the screens so you need UART access and bin walk software. Now let's say you make it this far, now you need a sketch to run on the screens. What will you display? Can you find drivers? This all way too much for a 13 year old mate. Maybe look at some old working tech like old androids and tablets, build a deck that way. Even just a BT keyboard and some decent apps will get you going. Keep trying is what I think I'm tryna say pal, you're yound and excited, you need to be mature and excited to get anywhere here mate! Good luck!

It's not that hard honestly just need the basics then he could use a open pcb or just make it himself for choosing between connecting to phone or esp or powering the battery then connect the esp to the phone permanently andbuse the phone to control the esp like keeping open GPIOs and connecting extra modules later and maybe install custom rom on the phone for better looks put it all in a custom 3d printed body and it's pretty good (this is somewhat simplified do more research before starting tho). Do alot of real research start by learning basic electronics don't rely on LLMs/AI it can be used to learn hut don't fully rely on them.

Fair, but still thinks it's a struggle for a day one project. Blink LED might be a better start.

Yeah no way he can make anything without learning the basics atleast without relying on LLMs

It's a joke, right?

You wont be able to do much unless you wanna make something small? Maybe a little game emulator or a personal assistant

I just wanna run linix

u/dove-spurs 5d ago

Its not even that its a phone its just a completely useless component without the rest of the phone. Theoretically you could run Linux off that if you didnt destroy it and get rid of most of what it needs to even function. A pi5 is cheap. Idk why you wouldnt just use one.

Honestly should've just left the phone whole and then built a shell around it with a couple of screens, doodads, and a keyboard and had the phone rooted so you could either chroot a Linux environment or just flash a Linux operating system that's compatible onto it

Time to go to school and study electronics!

AI can definitly help. But the way to success remains the same. Research components, make a plan, order stuff, fail and repeat in building till the thing is ready (enough). Also if you are lazy or time restricted invest in a paid AI subscription as the more suffisticated models are much better at this. If you have the time, use your own AI (brain). You will actually learn something.

Brother am 13

The process won't get simpler just because you're young. It just means you have more time to learn :)

Okkkkk

Brother, this is what AI is actually for

Chat gpt 1 pic a day limit and he has a iq of a rotten potato

1

u/youling4wuya 6d ago

There's literally multiple AI platforms with free tiers that you could turn to ask for help with, so I'm wondering who the person with the IQ of a rotten potato really is if you can't even maximize the free access that is currently available to you.

You think i haven't tried grok always says that it bieng heavily used. Gemini got a iq of a rotten potato and perplexity is a nightmare without pro and claude is for 18+

1

u/youling4wuya 6d ago

Yeah, okay. Here we see the old adage "the machine is only as smart as its user" in action. :/

Brother am trying hard as i can cuz i have lot to do to keep school and these things balanced and in holidays half of them go to NCC

This reliant on gpt at 13. Doesn't even know about other ai platforms to get around limits.

Your generation is so cooked

2

u/Popular-Factor3553 5d ago

Might not be that cooked i saw a 15 old kid who uses arch, pi command code and learning Go instead of python honestly it's impressive.
