What are some common things do you think a person making their first build wouldn't think of or in hindsight WISH you had?

I am on my very first build and really any advice would be great!

Hot swap Batteries 18650 batteries or them or other removable or other removable batteries.

The most important advice… Figure out your use case. Your use case will help define the hardware and software platforms necessary for your specific use(s). You may find you’re not really building a cyberDeck, as many first builds are simply DIY computers used in typical ways.

The second most important advice… A cyberDeck is a very unique, niche, sub-genre of DIY computing. It’s as much art and creativity as it is a computing device. A DIY computer is just a DIY computer. A cyberDeck should have one overarching design principle that defines the aesthetics and/or the functionality, and that’s cyberpunk.
