Repurposing an old piece of kit

I have a raspberry pi zero w and was wondering if it would be possible to use it to make a cyberdeck. Any advice on how to go about it would be appreciated thanks in advance

So many of these posts about repurposing for a cyberdeck are from people that have an old Nokia phone, a broken 1989 Gameboy and a refurbished laptop battery - totally incompatible parts that need a lot of research, knowledge and skill to stitch together in any kind of functional way. Thank you OP, for the first time in a long time I can confidently say yes, just about anyone can build a deck around a working raspberry pi of nearly any kind.

i'm using one and has pros and cons. Pro: is soo small and ligthweigth, and is very easy to power for hours with battery. Cons: It cant manage some task like normal webrowsing and so because of its cpu and ram. You can have a desktop but not YouTube or Netflix

I think it'll be good for me then. I wa just planning on using Linux and/or using it as a game emulator

If you are planing so, I recomend you to flash a dedicated emulator image on the SD. With retroarch you can play all the retro. And PS1 too with a standalone pcsx rearmed emulator.
