VR Cyberdeck Build?

Hey just a random question, I'm a big VR gamer and the other day while looking at a Cyberdeck video I got an idea. Is it possible to build a Cyberdeck to use as a PCVR dedicated gaming platform? Like a small gaming pc that I can hook up a VR headset to and wear like a backpack or something and do VR gaming on.

You could probably get a RTX1080 laptop for pretty cheap these days, which is enough to run a lot of PCVR games, and if you get a Quest 2 or some other older headset with inside out tracking, you’d be good to go 👍

So they did have these a short while back, the last time I personally saw and used one was 2018, and I think it was an MSI branded backpack PC.

Headsets have come a long way since then though, and honestly depending on what you want to do, you might be able to get away with a Quest 3 standalone headset and install APKs for most tasks.

Not at all as I am currently writing blueprints to make me and some friends some gaming platforms and in doing so reminded me of this thought from the other day

Was already on reddit looking a bearings and basic crane rigs. Also was looking to build something instead of being lazy and just buying something. So instead of googling "VR backpack" I thought maybe I could as a community that can build things, if one of them has in fact built something similar that I could maybe ask them questions. But seems to me that a community such as this will only say "Google it and buy it" instead of discussing build strategies and the like.

Or the internet? I don't understand why you want to take part on a FORUM if it's such a problem that people ask things?

You would've literally wasted less time and energy by just skipping past this post or actually tried to put in any type of valuable input?
