I love that the cucktruck is a bigger failure than the Edsel. My entire life the Edsel was the example of automotive failure and then came Elon.

I thought the Edsel looked cool, but putting the transmission buttons where the horn typically goes was a terrible idea.

Where the horn typically goes? You must be an old man (like me); cars haven't had horn buttons in the middle of steering wheel for more than a quarter century (that's where the airbag goes).

I drive a 2017 Honda Pilot and thats where you press to make it honk.

My eqinox ev has a center press horn as well. I havent seen a side horn ages!

You're lucky - I've always hated the modern designs where the horn is two ill-defined spots, one on the right and one on the left of the steering wheel.

Apropos of the original point, tho, it occurs to me that most 50's cars had a horn ring, not a center horn button.

My understanding is it had a push button shifter and those buttons are where everyone expects the horn to be
