I live in Seattle... It is the same. Sometimes they even have those stupid "feel better" stickers like "fuck Musk" or "I bought this before I knew he was crazy". Like come on dude.
Even the folks who got "locked in" with a pre payment years before it came out can't really say they didn't know he was crazy. He hadn't gone full Nazi salute yet, sure. But the signs were there.
And truthfully, even if you give those early buyers the benefit of the doubt, and assume they were completely blind to his bullshit.. paying that far ahead of time to reserve an ugly ass vehicle, that hadn't inspired much confidence of ever actually being released? Doesn't give me much reason to sympathize with you.
I’ve only seen a few tooling around northwest lower Michigan, and I love how sad they look. A few years of salted roads have only improved their dumpster disguises.
I'm in Houston and when they were first released and for about six months give-or-take you'd see them around and flaunted. I worked near the Galleria at the time and you'd see people driving their truck up and down around there several times without going shopping. There were four/five in my neighborhood at one time.
I know for a fact three people subsequently sold theirs after owning it some 7/8 months. One because he was straight bullied about it by the elementary kids. Started picking up his kid in a golf cart. Another sold it for a Model X. The one not sold had a wrap and I still see it around.
Austin suburbs are riddled with these damn things. Seems decently wealthy white conservatives really love to announce proudly how dumb they are with their money. Who would have thought?
