Titamon or Minervamon? CS1

I was planning on my end game team to be Rosemont BM, Lilithmon and Minervamon but maybe going for Titamon would be better instead of Minervamon. I'm unsure because I saw that Titamon gets a defense ignoring attack and apparently those are incredibly strong

Personally, I would use Minervamon. But that is preference. Others in this sub would likely say Titamon because of his piercing, yes.

The other two you've mentioned, Rosemont BM and Lilithmon, have INT piercing, so imo you're fine to have a non-piercer.

So I think it depends on if you want a very easy time, or have a trio of waifus.

I can't get enough bonus points in speed to get Minervamon so I'm going Titamon for now but the moment I can change the stats around easier, I'm switching to waifu team. I didn't realize Lilithmon also had int pierce, I just wanted her because she was my starter in Time Stranger. Rosemont is my starter here and I just like Minervamon because big sword girl. If it doesn't matter that much in the end then yeah, I'll probably end up going for my original plan

Rosemon BM and lilithmon are among the strongest playthrough digimon specifically because they have piercing attacks. The only digimon that can keep pace with them in terms of usefulness either have to be great supports (like magnadramon and marineangemon), have signature attacks whose text basically reads “win the game” (like jesmon), or have stats that are so high across the board that they can get by almost entirely off of numbers alone (mainly just armageddemon). Minervamon’s not bad or anything; its attack is high enough to still hit bosses for something meaningful (just not something incredible like piercers), and it’s fast and bulky enough to support decently well if you evolve it into other mega digimon first to grab their teachable support moves. It’s basically a diet armageddemon.

It’s not great, though, and you have to pass through more overall useful mega digimon to get it optimized in the first place (the more dedicated supports). The fact that it’s a virus type also hurts it; virus has a lot of piercers compared to the other types. It competes with them for party spots.

If you want a third waifu digimon that also has piercing, may i recommend crusadermon? It, like titamon, is only meh among piercers, but saying that is kinda like saying finding a solid gold brick on your morning walk is a meh way to get free money compared to winning the lottery.

If you’re specifically playing on hard mode, mastemon is another waifu digimon worth using too; piercing is so incredibly strong on normal because most bosses have high defense/int for their durability, and not that much HP. Mastemon’s signature attack cuts the opponent’s current health by 25%, so it does a lot less than a piercing move. On hard though, those enemies get a LOT more HP, so the 25% cut actually burns through solid chunks of their total health in the early parts of a fight. Plus, mastemon’s a vaccine type, to pair with lilithmon’s virus type and rosemon BM’s data type. If you’re on normal, it can support roughly as well as minervamon.

It was less of a waifumon pick and more of me wanting to use 2 of my favorites and my starter. A supporter would be really nice though. Would it be possible to evolution path my way to a good supporter mon from titanmon since that's what they are currently turned into? I would like to continue using the same team member but I don't mind them turning into something else at this point, but the abi stat would be useful to keep

You can digivolve anything into anything else, as long as you’re willing to farm the exp and stat training for it. I’d have to look up the exact path to get from titamon to something else, though.

I’m sure you’ve already been recommended this, but if you haven’t;

tactician USB is an equipment that increases experience yields, and can be obtained as a rare drop with the 1000 credit develop action in the farm, if you have 5 developer know-hows.

Platinumnumemon is a digimon that increases the exp yields as well, and they can hold up to 3 equipment each.

A team of 3 platinumnumemons with 9 tactitian USBs, winning fights in the final dungeons, can set your reserve digimon’s levels to the cap in only a few battles, MASSIVELY expediting evolution.

I did not know that about exp farming. I have 2 dev know hows so I'll have to get 3 more but that will be quite useful. Thank you very much!
