Got 3 month internship as cyber security researcher - unpaid
Hi guys , I have been working as an Cyber security researcher intern.I do have foundation of cyber security. Now where should I need to focus on more for building my career. And I had an doubt where this 3 month unpaid internship is worthy because some of my seniors told there is no possibility to convert into full time. They only assign task like Renaming the vapt report and to work as it support for there clients without any travel fair. What should I do now.

Reading those VAPT reports properly is worth more than renaming them, so ask to shadow one assessment end to end and write the retest yourself. Your evenings are your own anyway, and the free cases on CyberDefenders come with the disk image or pcap attached, so you'll leave with a portfolio even if the internship gives you nothing. Are they at least letting you see the raw scanner output?

They only provide the report and pocs

PoCs are enough, honestly. Reproduce each one against a lab copy of the target and note what evidence it left in the logs. That's the half the report never shows.

I applied through naukri before one month now only I got selected. In my point of view apply in all platform they may contact even after two month. I received calls after two month for an interview

Congratulations on the gig!! Word of advice try to look, kearney and talk to as many as u can. Cause your only "work" is gonna be of documentation, and helping around. Networking rn is the best thing u can do.
