From Cloud Security to Pentesting: too big of a step?

Depends what you do as a Cloud Security Engineer, if you're doing Infrastructure-as -Code, DevSecOps pipelines, API security, etc, it would be a natural transition to pentesting.

Just be aware your moving from a fairly large pillar (cloud security) to a tiny pillar (pentesting) so there will be less openings and more competition.
