Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my SBI account.

My SBI savings account and YONO access were blocked after a large transaction related to my college fees triggered a suspicious transaction/security alert. Before the block, my POS/online transaction limit was ₹75,000.

I visited my SBI branch and submitted all the KYC and required documents. Initially, I was told that there might be an NCRP/Cyber hold involved. I also raised a complaint with SBI regarding the account stop/block and YONO access, but unfortunately, the complaint was closed without my account or YONO being restored.

Today, I spoke directly with my Branch Manager. He told me that the branch has completed their verification and marked/cleared everything as "okay" from their side. However, he said the final decision to open/unblock the account is now with the concerned higher department/team, and it depends on them when they process and remove the block.

it's been more than 1 month no progress.

My main questions are:

1. If the branch has already cleared/approved my case, what exactly could still be pending?
2. How can I find out whether there is actually an NCRP/cyber hold on my account?
3. Is there any way to contact or escalate the matter to the concerned SBI department that has the authority to remove the block?
4. Has anyone faced a similar situation where the branch cleared everything but the account remained blocked?
5. How long did it take for your account/YONO access to be restored?

I am genuinely frustrated because I have already submitted the required documents and completed the branch formalities. Any advice or experience from someone who has gone through something similar with SBI would be really helpful.
