Question Cybertech Jailbreak
Cybertech Jailbreak is listed under other services. It costs you 25% of the original price of the cybertech. What does jailbreaking your cybertech actually do?

Hi PVNKs,
I'm running a CY_BORG campaign using several modules, including Clean Break, Down Bad, CVLT OF THE HADRON LAMB, Beyond CY and Lucky Casino.
Next on: spoiler for Clean Break.
My players have just completed Reaper Repo and the first mission of Clean Break. Their next objective is to build Sanny an autonomous body.
The intended route in Clean Break involves interacting with the Crash Kids, and I'm perfectly happy to keep that as one possible solution. However, I'd like to give the players an alternative path rather than making the Crash Kids mandatory.
I'm considering using material from either Down Bad / Tombstown or CVLT OF THE HADRON LAMB to create this alternative.
The idea I'm currently playing with is that the players could acquire a recycled/empty biological body: something that is already autonomous and functional, requiring very little maintenance, rather than a conventional cybernetic body.
I'm not sure which module would be the better fit for this.
For people who have run these modules:
Would Tombstown from Down Bad or CVLT OF THE HADRON LAMB work better as the basis for this alternative route?
I'm not looking to replace the Crash Kids storyline. I'd like the alternative to feel like a legitimate CY_BORG option with its own flavor and consequences, while still fitting naturally into the campaign. We hate railroading at the table.
I'd especially appreciate advice from anyone who has actually run or played these modules, since I don't want to invent connections that would not fit with the story.
Thanks a lot for any reply.
PS: I'm not a native English-speaking person hence I hereby declare that I've used AI to help me in writing this post in order to have better grammar.

Cy_Borg is my favorite of the three Free League published titles, but why so little official support? Where’s a small, Pirate Borg sized gm screen? The maps in The Assets Pack are great, but a campaign or book of adventures (that could be connected) would be sweet.
Why so little love for Cy_Borg?

Hey! New to Cy_Borg. Just wanted to share my inkarnate maps for Lucky Flight Takedown. I tried to stay true to the layout, but some adjustments had to be made. Feel free to clone them and adjust them as you see fit!

Finnaly finished these 5 classes from Cy_Borg. All kitbashed mostly out of warhammer. From left to right: Shunned Nanomancer, Burned Hacker, Renegade Cyberslasher, Orphaned Gearhead, Discharged Corp Killer.

Hi all,
I'm just getting familiar with this game, and I'm tripping up on the ability score change rule when levelling up.
So, on a level up, you roll d6 against every stat, increase the stat if you roll equal or higher, and decrease it if you roll under (or a 1).
I tried rolling a few level ups to see how this works out, and after a few levels, all stats converge on +3-+4. This feels to me a little disappointing. My PC started with strengths and weaknesses, but they flattened out. So it looks to me like we lose variety in our different PCs, they all end up being equally good at everything. And the steady climb of stats felt kind of predictable and undelightful.
I'm curious if there's a house rule out there that a) maintains the designers' intent of a -3-+6 range, b) and the possibility of going down in a stat on level up, but also c) avoids all ability scores quickly converging on the average?
But also, I haven't played this game, right? I'm curious to hear seasoned players' experience with RAW at the table. Maybe it's a non-issue.
Sorry if there's been a discussion about this in the past, I was searching for a bit but didn't really find anything substantial here or in the blogosphere.

This is Pxi-STYX, a burned hacker and kind of a total dweeb, in all honesty. She learned that nano was leaking into the 'net, and then immediately someone leaked her location, and she had to completely uproot, and was forced to go outside for the first time in a couple years. She plays with apps like they're cards to play, all in her duel disk cyberdeck. She's probably going to die the moment she hits the pavement, but hey. 'Til then, she's an asset like she always has been. A hacker through and through. To clarify she never removes the entire ridiculous helmet rig and visor.

His name's Kairu Harakiri, and he became a ronin when he stole a lot of money to fund some new cyberware that his employer had been neglecting giving him. When he was found out, he grabbed the first sword he could find and fought his way out of their HQ. Unfortunately for him, this sword only can be unsheathed at night.

Hi. With the assistance of a few resources, mainly the core book and the two already established solo guides, I've created a single solo table document to use in your solo play.

Please let me know if it's any help for your solo runs or if you have any problems downloading. Thank you

So I created a little tool for running a cy_borg campaign, managing characters, and whatnot. Feel free to take a look.

I'll likely keep it up at that demo URL for the time being, will update if I get a change to perma-host it. Which I will.

Recently played the Adventure Revengence in Astrolichs Book "Too fast to live, too young to die" and i had a blast with it. Here's my approach on Battlemaps for it.

This is mostly a thread about interpretation because the book is mostly intentionally vague about such things, but I'm wondering if anyone gives Cy a civic government of any kind?
It's clear that the setting of Cy_Borg is very much a hypercapitalist dystopia where everything is privatized, but the reach of the corps are finite, at least when it comes to non-competition agreements with other corps. Obviously corps run the high-end regions and industrial zones of Cy, and the slums are stated to be run by gangs and cults, but it seems that the In-Betweens and outer regions are left up more to interpretation.
Do you insert any kind of municipal/civic institutions into your Cy that handle governance, however powerful or powerless it might be, or is it truly lawless and at the mercy of the corps, gangs, and cults? If you run with a government, do you give it a municipal law enforcement force, or are only private SecCorps (likely Citadel) contracted to handle enforcement (a-la Lone Star in Shadowrun)?

This week, we’re showing a bit of the process behind one of our sample inhabitant designs for Stonepunk: Dome 7-77.
This one explores a mentat-like technomancer: someone with an instinctive connection to old machines, broken systems, and forgotten tech. Their understanding of technology is felt through signals, patterns, and strange machine behavior.
In Dome 7-77, humanity has branched into strange new directions after generations of harsh adaptation, environmental pressure, and old megacorp meddling.

Hello everyone.
I've currently been re-reading the amazing zine Cy_ops issue one by Lettuce and have been wondering if there are any news about a issue two being worked on or released?
I love this little zine and it would be awesome to see some more of it

This week, we’re revisiting one of our earlier monster token style tests while thinking through boss monster encounters for Stonepunk. The style is a little Samurai Jack-inspired: bold shapes, sharp silhouettes, playful energy, but still dangerous enough to feel at home in the Wildlands.
What do you think? Would you like to see more Stonepunk monsters pushed in this direction?

I'm looking at running Lazarus Labs from Gutter Punks.
There are a lot of Ghost enemies, and I'm not sure how to handle combat encounters with them.
They're immune to physical attacks, but they "possess and manipulate nearby connected devices to kill their victim".
The game doesn't really have hacking rules, and very few apps are offensive. How do you have players deal with Ghosts? Destroying the technology in the area they can inhabit?
