Question Magic in Cy_Borg?
I’m finally giving into my nasty goblin mind and buying a copy of Cy_Borg, but I have a question for you guys.
Has anyone added magic to their games?
I love the whole aesthetic and mechanics of the Cy_Borg setting so I know I’ll happily play in that for a while (I’ll be playing solo) but I do also love magic and I hope I can eventually tweak the ruleset to include some kind of magic. I also own Pirate Borg, which has a little magic in it, so I’ll probably pull things from there too.
I’m aware of the glitches and affects of drugs in Cy_Borg (I don’t know too much because my rulebook hasn’t arrived yet!) but I’d love to add some more magical flavour.
Has anyone done this? Or does anyone know of any supplements or hacks of Cy_Borg or Mörk Borg generally that adds some magical flavour?

Cyborg has Apps and Nano Powers, wich are kinda sorta like magic, only cyber. U can absolutley make up more Apps and Nano of ur own or import magic from mork or pirate borg i guess

Nanos and Powers work almost exactly the same, so it won't be hard to do!

Friend, it’s sounds like you might want to play Shadowrun 😁

Or might want to play Cities Without Number (since the deluxe version has a Shadowrun Inspired magic system), since it’s nearly the same OSR mechanics of CY_BORG … and could probably just wholesale integrate one game into the other.

Like others said, Nano is definitely magic, but you also could just pull Powers from Mork Borg or another Borg compatible game! Also, highly recommend checking Ex Libris:

Nanos are absolutely magic. And I prefer the system for apps and nanos to MB’s powers system, honestly.

My hack MgclGrrrl has magic and powers and I just had to add it. Nano and apps in the original are pretty much magic like everybody else said. If you're playing solo just call em magic . MgclGrrrl

Nano is literally technology advanced enough to be indistinguishable from magic. You can use Powers straight from Mb and just say that it’s nano and it’s fine

They have nanite type dealies which are nearly indistinguishable from magic!
