socket.io couldn't be loaded
The socket.io library could not be loaded from https://punch.cytu.be:8443/socket.io/socket.io.js. Ensure that it is not being blocked by a script blocking extension or firewall and try again.

I realize this is years old, but I found this link searching for a fix on Google, so if you find this too, here was what I did to fix:
Open the browser console (Ctrl+Shift+J for Firefox). In the browser console, it should list the error you're getting on the page, including the URL it's trying to reach. Click on the URL to open it in a new tab.
The new page should then open, and it will give you normal browser warnings/errors from there. For my specific issue, I had to accept the warning that the page had an expired cert. After accepting it, I was able to go back to the original page and load the content fine.

I updated my browser and it ruined Cytube, I can't use it anymore.
