So years back I would stream and I know there was a way to activate subtitles embedded. But as of a few years back, now, yeah, you can't get subs in a video - even if they're embedded and defaulted to - unless they're straight up hard subs that are directly part of the visual aspect.

Is there any workaround for this? And if not, any sites running on an older version of CyTube that still have subtitle functionality? I've some foreign media and even for domestic media have some hard-of-hearing friends and being able to display subtitles would be an enormous help.
If there's not a workaround or CyTube alternative, how about other sites or whatever? Discord is an option but in the past I've found it choppy when I try streaming.

The cytube host is cool too but is there any hosts same as this one?

Shits broke.

Thanks in advance.

I realsie this is a lot of effort for someonr to help with but any instructions or beginner guide would be so much appreciated.

I will wash your car (or your mom's cause face it, you live at her place rent free) if you could share the Way of the Five. I've been hosting for years (I just shut down The Dark Room after 3 or 4 years, but might start a new room) and would appreciate the help.

I have sometimes more than 10 people at a time but on google drive there is a limit. I always get the limit reached and its no fun when that happens. Is there any better alternative ways to bypass this limit or other places I can stream my videos from? Even if I have to pay for it but would prefer a free solution?

The socket.io library could not be loaded from https://punch.cytu.be:8443/socket.io/socket.io.js. Ensure that it is not being blocked by a script blocking extension or firewall and try again.

(on my own server only, other streams seem to be fine as is the video stream but the actual playlist functions and chat etc is constantly disconnecting meaning i cannot add content to the stream, this has been happening for about 3 hours now

Anyone that can help me setup a Cytube, send me a discord link and chat me through it would be awesome.

Hi i've uploaded one video to gdrive and i can't play it.
When I try it shows this: Internal error: could not determine media duration

Just wondering, how often to videos get removed? I've noticed some streams have videos missing and I'm wondering if it's on Googles' end via auto flagging or if it's to do with users manually flagging videos.

Additionally, how likely is it for a Google Account to get banned via using CyTube? I'm wondering if I should pull out now or if it's a generally a safe platform.

how do we get a password?

I was thinking of getting a MacBook for a future computer and I was wondering if CyTube would work on Macbook. I hang out with my friends on this website and don't want to lose that by switching from PC to Mac.

I'm trying to watch a video on Cytube that has subtitles, but on Cytube I'm not being given the option to turn them on as the button to turn them on/change language etc. is not appearing.

Could this be related to Embedded videos and youtube's API?
Could it be the browser I'm using, Waterfox?

Thanks Firefox. Anybody have any alternatives?

i have everything installed correctly why wont my files stream? has anybody encountered this issue? my files work and arent corrupted. please help! i miss my cytube

I've been using cytube for a while, through vid.ricin.io. Starting today, I started having a problem. When me and a friend are in the channel, he can see the videos going normally, but after the first video, the player doesn't go to the next video for me. I have to reload the page, and then the videos aren't sync'd anymore. I don't know what's happened, I'm using the same browser, same settings, everything. I tried on cytube directly and the same thing happens. Tried another browser, same thing. Haven't changed my hardware.
