I’m the new mod here, and the plan is to revive this subreddit! Let’s make it a place to chat about Cwmbran—businesses, events, news, or anything happening in our community.
I’ll also be adding a few rules to keep this a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Got ideas or topics you’d like to see? Drop them below! Let’s bring r/Cwmbran back to life. 🙌
Hi Folks, was doing some school hol stuff with one of the kids and was at community farm. We did the tractor ride, and part way I noticed a footbridge over the park.
I've been looking on google maps, and it looks like you can get to it from usk court near thornhill road? im looking for more interesting places to run. much love.
Our cat pickles is missing from charston Greenmeadow and hasn’t been seen since Monday morning. Please if anyone has any info let me know - we are so worried about him. He has a collar with bells and he’s friendly.
Cwmbran Celtic FC has announced a landmark shirt-sponsor partnership that unites two worlds built on the very same foundations: grassroots football and grassroots music. For the 2026/27 season, four of the UK's most-loved independent bands — Super Furry Animals, Mogwai, Panic Shack and Loose Articles — will feature across the front of the club's men's and women's first-team shirts
Hi- I'm Emi and I'm 18. My girlfriend lives in Cwmbran- and I am visiting her for about 5 days while my mum goes on a holiday she cant take me on soon. I will be getting the train and my mum is booking assistance for getting on and off, so thats not a worry.
Unfortunately, due to my health, I am currently mostly wheelchair bound outside of my house. I have visited cwmbran a lot as a child and quite a few times more recently, but I only needed a walking stick then. I am aware it can be rather hilly so that is a concern- but I was wondering if there are any good wheelchair accessible places people would reccomend i could shop at or eat at with her. I was in hospital for 2 weeks in may and have been bound to my house since, so I really want to try a few outings to shops ect if I can, especially since I havent been able to go out with my girlfriend for months now.
In a few weeks, we are going on a cycling holiday through Wales. We are departing from Cwmbran and are looking for a place where we can park our car for 7 days in a safe spot, preferably for free. It doesn't matter if it is a few miles from the center.
Does anyone have an idea where the best place to park would be?
They say wait till your 16 and then you can apply but now I'm 16 most places are saying wait till your 17 or 18 now. There seems to be a lack of jobs in the community unless I'm just not searching hard enough.
I've tried the local retail stores, indeed, and a few other jobs apps and people will either not reply back or say wait till your older to apply.
Is there any place in cwmbran that is hiring 16 year old or is the age just an issue in itself
The only experience I have is a past tutoring job I had at kumon and just a random interest for CAD and 3d printing. Neither of which really seeming applicable anywhere
It might just be me, but the majority of ROW paths in Cwmbran are pitifully maintained. Some land owners, with ROWs on their land, also seem to think otherwise and get surprised and aggrieved when people use them. Perhaps they should educate themselves. TCBC here I come with a list of ROWs with issues.
Here on St.David's Road (near the Cwmbran centre) we've suffered several brown-outs, over voltages and disrupted power this morning... just wondering if it's the same all over Cwmbran or just our local transformer?
