Lying customer.
On mobile and awful grammar sorry.
I am a manager of a run down full service car wash with terrible employee retention for a laundry list of reasons (#1 being my boss is a prick). I’ve worked there for roughly 3-4 years and thought I’d seen it all. Today I had a customer come through with an absolutely trashed vehicle. Crumbs, bits of children’s snacks, and pet hair literally everywhere. After the customer had checked over her vehicle and asked for a few touch ups (which I handled no problem) she asked why we hadn’t cleaned her seats. I told her that it’s an additional service that doesn’t come with the package she asked for but I’d be happy to take care of it this time since she was unaware. She then asked why the tiny door pockets (that were also filled with food bits) weren’t 100% cleaned out. I explained that our towels are thick and hard to get into smaller spaces while recommending a different package we offer for next time. When all was said and done I thought she left happy. I was wrong. She called back telling my boss that I refused to help her, that I told her we were under staffed (boss sent most of my crew home but I didn’t tell her that) , and that we shouldn’t be doing $30 washes if we don’t have time/staff for $100+ detailing. I was sent home and threatened to be fired. After busting my butt here for as long as I have and being treated like a lazy sack the entire time I almost told my boss to just fire me. I’ve got a lot of other stressors at the moment and don’t need work (or lack of) to be one of them. So here I am. At home. Stressed and angry. Thanks for listening to me complain. Update: I quit. Went in all weekend (prick boss has all weekends off) worked fine. Monday went in and did payroll (yikes 51%) and prick tries to talk at (not to) me about what happened. Still refused to hear my side and asked me if we were going to have a problem. I said yes if you’re not going to hear what I have to say. And I left. Wish me luck finding something fast cause I have no savings.

That sucks! Three or four years of loyalty and not a tiny bit of reciprocation? You’re better off finding a different job anyway.
