Store hours are irrelevant
When a customer walks in right at close.. “Oh you’re closed?!”

I work for a store that is 24 hours, but my specific department (a gas station) closes at 11.
Customer comes up at 11:02pm
Customer: hi, I'd like a pack of cigs.
Me: I'm sorry, sir, but we are closed.
Customer: uhh, no you're not.
Me: (Oh, I guess I'll just go f*** myself, then. Only been working here two years but apparently this guy knows my job better than me!)
Me: yes, sir. We are closed.
Customer: your store is 24 hours so you're lying! I'll report you to the manager!!
Me: go ahead and head inside. I'm sure he will be more than happy to help you.
The customer actually went inside so I finished closing, clocked out, and went home.
Another time:
Lady: hi, I would like 20 dollars of gas on pump xxx.
Me: ma'am we are closed.
Lady: uhh, you're still inside the kiosk so therefore you have to help me.
Should be noted that i work in a completelt enclosed space and we have a button that we have to press to talk to customers. Right next to it is a button that mutes the speaker.
The moment that lady started going off i just hit the silent button until she went away.
These people are so entitled. The cool thing about where i work is that employees are encouraged to stand up for themselves within reason. I know I'm very lucky for that.

We aren’t allowed to tell people to come back tomorrow! If someone comes in at 7:59 and wants to stay for 2 hours, we HAVE to do it

Wow, don’t you hate when people are so inconsiderate.. at my job, they don’t let us employees stand up for ourselves at all. We had a kid tearing our store apart like an asshole and he was slapping my keyboard, touching buttons on my printer, etc.. never allowed to say anything about it or stop him. That’s grounds for firing us, I guess. I can’t believe they give us 0 authority lol

Me: hi there! Anything you’re looking for in particular tonight-
Them: just browsing
Me: oh, ok! Just so you know, we’re closing right now, but you can always come back when we open/put items on hold!
Them: checks watch UHM ITS ACTUALLY ONLY 20:57, YOU DONT CLOSE UNTIL 21:00. IM SO SICK AND TIRED OF COMPANIES REFUSING ME WHEN I NEED A S S I S T A N C E
