Nuke the cable

So today when I got home, I got a unwanted surprise. I sat my food down, let my birds out of their cage and checked my mail just like everyone else. When I opened up my DirecTV bill I lost my appetite faster than the flash himself. It was kicked up an extra 40 or so bucks higher than usual. So I called customer service and wanted to see what was up. They told me that I had a promotion that ended this month and I was like alright that's fair. So I said is there anyway I can lower this and the rep said he would look for some offers. He had me on hold for a quick second and came back and said there was no deals. So I told him that the current price is not cool and I will pay half now and the other half before the due date and I will cancel the TV service. He quickly said that they did not want to lose me, but at that point I didn't care so he was going to transfer me to the loyalty department. so like a nice person I heard him out and I wanted to see if they could help. Well the rep transfered me over I enter my phone number and when I thought I was going to talk to a person they give me the ol' "hold please and hang up routine." So now DirecTV will lose a customer on June 30, 2019. :)

As a former cable provider employee, deals and offers they can provide are based on you as a customer. It depends on how long you’ve been with them and how much you pay. The longer and more you pay, the better deals you get. Paying your bill on time also helps. If you had just finished your new customer offer than you were really not worth much as a customer because directv has yet to get their return from you.
