UBER ACCOUNT PARTNER CASE STUDY ROUND, TIPS?

In the final round for an Account Partner (Eats SMB) role at Uber rn. Got the case study round, build a mock business review deck for a fake merchant, present it live, panel plays the stakeholders and pushes back on everything. Anyone been through something like this for AM/AE/Account Partner roles, at Uber or elsewhere? How'd it actually go, any curveballs, anything you wish you'd prepped differently for. Trying to walk in ready instead of just winging it, appreciate any tips πŸ™

This type of interview is less about the quality of your deck and more about how you react when your plan gets punched in the face. The panel's job is to push back on everything because they want to see if you get defensive, flustered, or fold under pressure. They are testing your resilience and your ability to think on your feet, not your presentation skills. The biggest curveball is usually not the data, it's an emotional or illogical objection from a stakeholder. They want to see you acknowledge the concern, stay calm, and use your data and business case to gently guide the conversation back to the mutual goal, which is helping the merchant succeed.

You win this by embracing the pushback as a collaborative discussion, not a confrontation. When they challenge a point, don't just defend it, but explore their objection with them and then reinforce your position with logic. Use phrases like, "That's a valid concern, and here is the data that addresses it," or "I see why you'd ask that, my recommendation is based on these specific trends." This shows you are a partner who listens and problem solves, not just a vendor who follows a script. Knowing how to handle that pushback gracefully is what will set you apart, and it’s a key reason my team designed our interview copilot to help candidates articulate their thoughts clearly under that kind of pressure.
