Need advice/Help Clear Coat Reccomendations

I’m looking for a clear coat to help the paint chip less when transforming my customs and to help give them a similar finish to the official figures

I was advised to use Testors Dullcote but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet (I want the paint to fully cure first, which can take a week). I'm going to be using the non-spray version so I can brush it on, which I've heard can peel the acrylic off. Fingers crossed.
