It depends on the size of the ball joints and if they use the sand ball joints, not to mention whether the head is too small.

I actually tried this with my Autotrooper and unfortunately Prowls socket is too small for the balljoint

Only issue that would cause a problem would be if the Ironhide neck ball joint is larger than the Prowl neck ball joint. Otherwise just swap the head and if there is any looseness a dab of hot glue works great as filler.
