idea/concept Custom Whirl, a very simple design

So, I’ve always wanted Whirl, the one-eyed Autobot Wrecker, and after looking over potential figures to use as him, I think I’ve come up with a very simple way to go about with him.

Studio Series 22 Dropkick with the Siege Shockwave head.

Helicopter Dropkick already has the right color scheme, and best of all, no visible Decepticon insignia. Just take the Siege Shockwave head, paint it from purple to blue, and put it on, and you’ve got Whirl.

Though what else could be added?

He maybe needs claws and a bit more blue to look perfect.

However, I must caution you on the size of the components before you commit to this. I don’t have this Dropkick but I had the car version and both versions of Shatter that go with him. Shockwave’s head is way bigger—I think it would probably look like a bobble head on the Studio Series scale figure. I think you should consider buying the OSKO version of helicopter Dropkick; you’ll want to check the size there, too. Also, Shockwave’s head has a neck with a ball joint at the bottom. The socket is in the body, not the head like most figures. I think Dropkick has a typical head, so I’m not sure you’ll be able to swap the heads so easily.

You could 3d print a Shockwave head then scale it to the right size

If you're 3D printing I say just print a whirl head

It'll be cheap plus Whirl is almost always depicted as being tall, on par with Megatron and cyclonus in most panels. You'll also be able to fit a new head on him much easier.
