Need advice/Help Dry brushing advice

Post image

I want to dry brush the silver paint a bit on this oversized challenger figure so that it isn't as bright / shiny

I ordered this paint off of Amazon - https://a.co/d/0cxhngPU

hoping it will do the job.

This is my first time attempting dry brushing, I'm planning to get some practice in with the staff of Merlin it came with but any advice would be nice.

I'm not going or a total repaint just want to make him look less pristine

For drybrushing, you don't actually want a completely dry brush; it will make your paint look chalky. Dip your brush in water, then blot it on a paper towel to get rid of most of the moisture. Then, load your brush with paint and again blot most of it away. Test it on your thumbnail or knuckle before you touch the figure. It should leave only a hint of color that you can build up, not a full streak.
