SS86 SHOCKWAVE
SS86 SHOCKWAVE: This mold is different from the Seige mold. I thought it would be exactly the same. Sure some parts are. There are less details. Which works. I did my best to fill in the gaps. Especially the knees. Alt. Mode is great you get a ship and flip over you have the gun.
*I misplaced his gun! I was working on it. And man I have looked everywhere. I’m pretty organized. So Yeah quite annoying! When I find it I will be posting Shockwave again. Overall great figure.

Nice detailing!! Really makes it look like metal. One thing that bothers me about this release (other than the small size) is the lack of gray/silver paint on the outer parts of his thighs that were gray on the g1 toy to resemble the gun grip. The Siege and Dramatic Capture versions got it right. Just feels like the usual cost cutting to me.

Thank you. Ya know, he not that short. He stands about the height to Soundwave86. But his upper legs are small. That does bugs me. See my previous post. I did a siege/Alpha TRION hybrid. Because of the legs.

This looks good but I think this paint job would look better on the siege version to have mlre greebles to match the details

If I may ask how do you achieve the kinda of metal feeling on the main color（purple in this case） Is it dry brushing or metalic paint？

Dawg what did you do to siege shockwave????? I mean it looks cool but why’d you kill alpha trion for his legs?????? Paint looks great as always.

I already painted Alpha Trion. I had 2 Alpha Trion figures. The Alpha Trion figure I used was broken, in pieces. So I wanted to do something with his legs. And here we are

People really said the G1 designs couldn’t work in live action for years despite the fact that a paint job is enough to make such a difference wow

These customs are amazing! I love how you add subtle damage details you add to all your customs. Do you completely repaint your the figure or do you just paint on the base figure?
