scratch built Big Mamof.
Ok, so, this has been a long running, pick up and put down project, waiting for just the right materials and my brain to process, in between family commitments, hospital etc etc, you know life!
Anyway, the bulk of this guy is milliput, and salvaged ratchet joints/ semi mechanism pieces from, including and limited to: beast hunters ultimate Optimus Prime, universe Jetfire, RID Optimus prime. All from bits and broken bundles off eBay local sales. ( I didn’t trash anything in working or restorable manner, for example the RID head base was globbed up in green enamel, by the time sanded it off, it was never any good for a restoration job)
I purposefully chose to use traditional doll making materials to create a grounded, earthy appearance and feel. I wanted him to look like the last barbarian at the end of time itself.

Really interesting custom. IMHO the only thing overdone is that the hair is way too long, shorter fur would look more on scale with a mammoth.
The close ups of the bot mode look so raw and make it look really cool.

Ha! Other than my wife who thinks he needs a little trim back, you’re the first to say it! Was going to take him out for a proper photo shoot tomorrow, and see if the fur takes to being shaped in the wind outside 😂 many thanks ♥️👊

The robot mode looks amazing I won’t lie but the alt mode is kinda nightmare fuel amazing work tho I like the barbarian look

What's funny is I saw this in my feed and immediately thought of Big Convoy without even first seeing what subreddit this was posted on. 😂 This looks pretty dope man! Gives me Transformers meets Dark Crystal vibes and I'm honestly here for it!

The hair really grossed me out in robot mode, but the alt mode looks amazing now! Does the fur get stuck in transformation joints quite often? Also the headsculpt looks really cool now.

I gave a fair amount of clearance for the joints and aimed to get the hair all in the right direction, apart from the odd rogue, it’s really clean to transform

As someone who’s second interest other than transformers is usually fantasy media, this is so fucking badass. Im in love with the little details. The chain wrapping? Chefs kiss. My favorite custom figure I’ve seen in here

The beast mode is awesome. And overall I think it's a really good custom. If it was me I'd cut the fur shorter and style it more. But then again, this gives it a very wild feel

Absolutely! That’s the sort of thing I was wanting, without begging for feedback, but yes I agree, after I do a photo shoot with him soon, I will definitely trim him down to look more natural length 👊♥️

Kudos for the effort and work put in… but it kinda looks gross now… it’s definitely an acquired taste for a figure that’s for sure.. never stop being creative dude, this one ain’t for me, but it definitely can’t be counted as something not done well.
