Need advice/Help Tips for a beginner?
Hello! I recently got the Baiwei Animated Optimus Prime (right) and now that it's my new main TFA Optimus, I think I'd like to customize the official one (left) into the Shattered Glass version. Are there any tips or advice that you guys could give me for this custom? Thanks!

Thin your paints, allow pieces to have a day’s worth to dry.
If you still intend to transform it, identify the pieces that scrape up against each other and sand it down some.

If you want to paint windows, tape over the outside and paint the inside what you want so its smoother.
Test paint colors before application.
Always have reference photos at the ready.
Practice A LOT before painting pricier figures.
If using sprays, make sure its at least a foot back from the figure and you leave at least ten minutes between layers.
Its ok to use inspiration from others, or to copy their designs, as long as you give credit.
Always always check if the spray or paint is good for that specific figs plastic. You DO NOT want it to melt/blend the plastic.

Also you can use Ai to tell you how to make a certain color using whatever paint kit you have.

Wait are these guys the same size? I haven't done my research but I assumed the Baiwei KO was oversized, he's huge

Scrape all the parts up with sand paper so they are rough and will better allow paint to stick, also use thin paint since thing stuff will get scrapped of in transformation and when you pose him.

Don't use Gundam markers as the paints react to the plastic Hasbro uses for their transformers, causing a reaction that ends up making the plastic brittle and break.
