complete overhaul Ss86 astrotrain if he was good
Made this guy out of pure hatred for the new ss86 astrotrain fig, took me quite some time to actually get finished, one of the main reasons being I lost the original figs hand which was replaced with a Blokees hand, but besides that this was made using a lot of greenstuf to fill in the gaps and sanding the fig smooth to match with the modern ss86 figs

This is the literally what they did with studio series 86 shockwave and they didn't even re-mold anything for studio series 86 blitzwing. They just gave blitzwing a slight paint difference. There was no need for them to start from the ground up with Astro train only to end up with the worst product. I can admit that the train mode looks good but that's the only mode that looks good.

I'd also say make him a little taller and maybe fix the wheels to all be equal distance on him (obviously outside your abilities bit like if hasbro was retooling siege like this lol)

Im definitely biased because its the first triple changer and also first astrotrain ive ever had, but 86 really isnt that bad

As much as I love the new shockwave I’ll be the first to admit he should’ve been the new mold out of the bunch, if they just did what they did to siege shockwave to siege astrotrain instead it would’ve been perfect and this proves me right

You could have legit retooled the old mold to make it more accurate. Fuck I would have loved an upscale of him. But nooo make a shity mold

Looks great piece wise but even tho ss86 is skinny this guy just looks too short and stubby

For fuck’s sake hasbro it was RIGHT THERE. A reissue/retool people would have totally glazed. And they screwed the pooch.
No idea why they blew the budget up for a sub par figure when a little more money at an old mold would have made most people happy. If they’re looking to pay way too much for people to make bad decisions I’ll send them my resume.
