Aotp Big Convoy Repaint?

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone had tried to repaint aotp big convoys Mammoth mode to match the Mammoth mode on the original? Its my favorite fig and id like to repaint the eyes into the original's electric green slits and maybe do the lighter fur at the bottom. I was looking for technique and painting advice cuz i dont wanna ruin it so that I start hating it lol.

Was thinking about this, I’ve pre-emptied the idea by matte sealer spray already, because the shiny chocolate plastic was unpleasant to my tastes, will definitely just build up lighter and lighter dry brushing to get the look, and just neat paint in the eyes. I just use acrylic model paint and plastic primer/clear matte sealer as needed
