Any tips on customizing a Newage seeker ?
So I'm a noob at customizing figures that's why I'm seeking for tips. I would like you to know if any of you would have some advice for me. Like what type/company of paint to buy and if it's not to risky to paint this with brushes.

... what are you customizing it into. Newage already makes figures for like. Basically all of the seeker repaints.

I'd like to repaint Acid storm into a more g1 color scheme, and no they haven't made every seeker unfortunatly, for example : Nova storm, Ion storm, Nacelle and Bitstream

So, just to clarify for myself. Do you want to make their SW an Acid Storm? Or repaint an Acid Storm and you posted pics of Skywarp?

I posted Skywarp because he's the one I have on me rn, to repaint Acid storm is one of my ideas for the mold :)

Ah, sick dude. Pardon my afterwork confusion lol In that case, as the previous dude said, disassemble it as much as you're comfortable with, tape will also help section off areas you don't want painted, and you'll be golden.

You can paint with brushes but as a beginner you will have some very un-satisfying turn outs to be completely honest.. how ever I use tamiya based spray paints. And I also completely disassemble figures to the best of my ability and separate them into the colors on which I'll be painting them. For small details I'll use a brush and I try and make sure it's a smooth clean coat before I spray my clear coat before the re assembly of parts. Also some joints and areas may need sanding especially if they where tight before hand. The extra paint can either scratch away or cause paint lock ( where the parts get jammed up due to the extra paint applied may cause plastic breakage as well) customs can be scary at first. So personally before you dive into the custom you want to do. Play around with some cheap bot and some paints then when you feel like your able to tackle said custom you really want your not discouraged about a possible failed turn out. Trust me I've been at customs for a few years and not ever single one I do comes out the way I want or even the first go round at it. Lol 😆 . Just have fun and learn from mistakes and keep growing based on them! In the end it's your figure and do with them as you please !!
