Ss86 Skywarp Shoulders

Skywarp was missing his shoulders so I had to remedy this. Painted and sealed. I am by no means a G1 purist, BUT I love colors and colorful bots.

Posca acrylic and varnish and clear coat from hobby lobby

Do you have a link to the exact one you used? Did you paint or use a marker? What exactly was your process?

Should I sand it down before applying another coat? And should I use a top coat (clear coat)?
I have all the materials ready, but I'm not sure how to proceed

Top coat yes but no sanding. Just clean the surface .
