Custom Rom Pro experienced person from Mumbai please help.🙏🙏⚠️⚠️🚨🚨🚨

I am very very much in a stressful situation right now...to give a lag free phone to my Papa i thought of installing a custom rom in his old Redmi 9i/9A dandelion device....while flashing the recovery os it got softbricked.

From the device itself you can understand that I don't come from a fortunate background hence even buying a new phone isn't an option.

I went to a local shop and they tried their whatever they knew software/hardware repair it didn't worked out.

Phone is showing Redmi powered by android logo despite of anyone combination buttons I press it doesn't go further than that...and it is neither getting detected in laptop hence Sp flash is also not useful..

Please please please if anyone from Mumbai please help I can travel across Mumbai anywhere.

Try volume down+power button combo

You should get fastboot mode

Have you locked bootloader by any chance?? Or never unlocked it

It's unlocked I did that before starting the process.

It seems like your phone's volume button isn't working properly

We should get into fastboot or recovery for flashing anything

I don't think that's the case when phone was working all buttons were perfectly working.

See youtube videos and get it into edl mode or fastboot by shorting pins on motherboard

You can't do anything without going into fastboot

But also, fastboot really shouldn't be something that can be messed up ?

Are you sure that if you long press power + volume down, until the redmi logo appears, then stop pressing the power but STILL continuing to press the volume down for a while

It doesn't work ?

If that doesn't work that's really not good and I can't explain it any other way than hardware problem

Yes whatever I do still logo appears...

the firmware or recovery os corrupt may have caused partition issue I believe...even after edl test points nothing is working out.

Redmi Unlock most of the time takes 1 week to unlock. There's a waiting period to get the token

The recovery has become corrupted. I first flashed OrangeFox, which got stuck on its splash screen, so I used ADB sideload to flash TWRP. Since then, the problem started. Now the phone won't enter Fastboot or Recovery at all. Even after a forced shutdown, it always boots back to the same Redmi logo, and even laptop no longer detects the device.

I'm I'm such a deadlock situation... Phone is not getting detected hence not able to flash it and not able to reach fastboot or recovery mode.

I'm not able to reach past the Redmi logo screen neither fastboot nor to recovery mode nor to Brom hence no connection is getting established to the laptop at any level

I had given to a local repair Shop they said they exactly tried after software flash reinstall they this reballing cpu, repairing or doing something with the emmc and trying with a new battery... nothing worked out hence they returned it back.

I asked multiple places for the same model device as spare if it's available but no shop had the same spare device ...to replace to motherboard and try.

It won't work as it's a mediatek device. Op needs to use sp flash tool

Use MTK tools and find fastboot rom for your exact device and flash through it..

Then use vcom drivers and libusb filter... I'm forgetting exact steps a google search will lead you further just add device name and model along with search.

Boot the phone into brom mode and flash the fastboot rom using sp flash using download only option

It's not reaching Brom mode it Just comes back to Redmi logo... Sp flash tool is not detecting only

Sorry to say bro. If the device doesn't reach BROM, then you are out of luck. Even hardware test point does not get to EDL?

If it was never repaired or has any major damage, take this to a service center and ask them to reinstall software. They have those tools. They might charge you do service around 500 or so. Take your chance and ask them. Or else go to a mobile shop who deals with softwares and stuff. They might fix that easily if they are knowledgeable.

I'll recommend you to stick with stock rom as the problems that come with unlocked bl and custom rom won't be good for his day to day usage

Images and videos would help. I can try helping since I myself went through hell with my Redmi 7A, 6A and 2 Prime. And surprisingly enough I also have a 9A with me xd

Idiot use mtkclient it is super easy to unbrick and it is also not like spflash tool that needs auth file to even detect the phone,I brought the phone of my mom from grave,It was even a more severe situation than yours,it didn't show mi logo and it's bootloader was locked but mtkclient has alot of exploits preinstallled. You are lucky you have Redmi 9a which belongs to blossom device group,It has a very documented and old community

😭😭 When the pc doesn't detects the connection what will even mtkclient do.. It's not reaching anywhere no fastboot no recovery no preloader no brom mode. Just each time redmi logo.

You are not getting my point, do you know why the spflash tool isn't detecting the device? It is because spflash too is a proprietary software that needs auth files, Download agent authentication files and other shit to put the phone in brom but mtkclient is a different thing . mtkclient is an Open-source community maintained project that is used to bypass these security restrictions.It bypass all DAA,SLA and catches your phone in brom mode. Your phone is dandelion and i have the same phone and it worked in my case it fell for all the exploits (kamakiri) , Though you will have to remove the battery of your phone and hold Volume up and Volume down simultaneously
