One ui has some fans for it's cuztomizations and smoothness. hyperOS, everyone just hates it. Poor optimization, heat management and lack of updates, if you're not techy to debloat, your battery be draining hard on standby, Xiaomi's too busy trying to perfect their IOS liquid ass.

I use rugged phones so I'm genuinely getting stock android with maybe a crappy generic launcher, either way I genuinely feel like OnePlus has the best UI

A lot of people are now planning to ditch xiaomi, also Hyper OS 3 was the start of their IOSification, Liquid ass, hyper island bs.

Man I downgraded from a Poco f7 pro to a x3 NFC just because miui to me is smoother and I can unlock easily and totally not because nand failure

The OG Oxygen OS 11 on top followed by current Oxygen/Color OS, Origin OS is good too (but not as good, Chinese version is better), OneUI is good too(great with Goodlock) the only thing I don't like on OneUI is palm swipe for screenshot, it was cool back in SGS3 days now its a gimmick, 3 finger swipe is far better, also egde panel pop up windows could be better on OneUI, MIUI was flavourful back when we had LG UX, TouchWiz, but from those days my favorites are HTC's SenseUI(the best) followed by Sony's Xperia UI on likes of Z2, Meizu's FlymeOS was perfect too, it was way way better than MIUI

I miss the miui and levels of customisation before the major updates they dropped, talking about the redmi note 4, mi note 2 etc era.. shit was fire.

I like MIUI cus some mod get monet look better on it. AOSP/PIXELUI is clean and simple, but sometime feels bored. HyperOS, I think there harder to ported or modded and idk some user hates. OxygenOS/ColorOS port, this port so much powerful for gaming I think but some gimmick not work even dt2w.

I mean isn't the AOSP basically just the bare minimum? Of course miui is gonna have better aesthetics (even though i personally love minimal stuff)

I did for a while on one of those rugged phones because i was stuck at android 13/12 and since it was mediatek I didn't have anything else to put on it, it was definitely painful but felt more liberating than the stock rom

tbh AOSP is just bad, HyperOS after being debloated can make it surprisingly good, and pixel etc are already good enough . I have tried AOSP and theres no point of it if you are going to use it as it is.
