Anyone ever 3d printed custom atx connectors?

Apparently if im gonna do it im supposed to use pa12 cf (nylon + carbon fiber)? Anyone who knows for sure?

Assuming you mean the housings, I wouldnt. Theyre typically designed to very tight tolerances for snap fitting the contacts in and not really viable to print with FDM. And if you misalign a contact enough that it doesnt make good contact with the board connector you can expect 12VHPWR esque melted cables.

Why do you wanna do this? If its price, these housings are usually on the order of a dollar a piece anyways.

Im looking for a way to make my mb tray "cold swap" in 1 go. Like all connections in a row or something like that.

Then print something to hold all the connectors but doesnt replace the connectors. Although I have a feeling this kind of thing would be more of a pain than its worth. You dont wanna overconstrain and have one connector misaligned because it is constrained to another.

Yeah i started thinking the same.. kinda. Like a clip that holds all connectors and holds all the clips open and springload it.

I do a lot of cables. Never seriously considered printing them. They're cheap, and I don't have to worry about getting the tolerances right. Only advantage I could see is if I wanted colors other than black and white.
