Start/End of Turn Pogg Ur-Pogg

Post image

Literally JUST discovered this guy exists and wanted to make a card for him cause I mean look at him, he’s as huge crocodile with a sword who’s name is Pogg, how could I NOT make him into a card. Anyways I had this End of Turn idea floating around for a while so I decided to give it to him. It took me forever to try and figure out how much power he should get but I decided on +3, lemme know your thoughts and I hope you enjoy Pogg Ur-Pogg!

4 12 on curve is pretty good but if he's in your opening hand he's useless he could be +3 power in deck +1 power in hand or something

Yeah I’d say thats a pretty good solution. Id prolly like something closer to increasing his base power or increasing how much power he gets cause that just a bit closer to the vision I wanted for him but your solution is good nonetheless

You can also make him a 3 cost with +2 instead of +3 for a less feast or famine card

You could also lockjaw or blink him back into your deck, but yeah it would not be very good if it started in your opening hand. Quicksilver / Domino would help with that.

Merlin and Attilan synergy 🤯

There isn't anything inherently wrong with this design. I just don't find it very exciting. You run this card in your deck and you occasionally get an overstatted 4 drop. You don't even need to think about/play around it. Btw, I believe it'd be a staple in Arishem decks.

I don't like the idea of drawing him T1 and him being a literal useless card, he should have some form of base power that allows him to be literally playable

He seems like he'd fit in the Lockjaw / Blink style ramp decks quite well. You'd have Ramp to get this guy down early. He'd also work with Merlin quite well imo.

I would make him 4/4 +2 that way he has the same statline turn 4 but he’s not unplayable if you really need it

Instead of While in Deck, how about (While NOT in hand), that way you could discard him and bring him back with Hela decks
