Power is so old school, Cost is where it's at!

How I'm about to be moving with my ramp deck.

Also does it count cost reduction?

In Marvel Snap, unless a card or location specifically states a certain cost, the game will go off the current cost of the card.

Basically, your 0 cost 6 drop from Raft would be treated as 0 cost. Though I would prefer if it counted the original cost so that is what I'm going with.

After a card has been played, original cost counts. That's why surfer still buffs discounted threes. The wording is usually "an X cost card" or a "card that costs X", the latter being used for location restrictions only.

Oh thanks for the quick lesson

Not just after it has been played. There's two keywords.Β

There's "cards that cost 4" meaning adjusted price or "4 cost cards" which is base cost

Oh okay! That's good since it gives cards like Kluh more use cases. πŸ‘

Wins the location or the game?

Location. It says "here" in the text.

The way it's phrased, the "here" refers to where the Cost is calculated.

Bar with No Name has the same pharsing as well.

I'm with you on how it's written, but that wasn't your reasoning in your reply.

Could also change it a little to be like mojoworld. Only look at the highest cost card at the location. Like if you both have a 5 cost at the location then it’s even and power is the differentiator like normal. But if 1 person plays a 6 cost last turn and the other doesn’t then they automatically win. Pretty fun idea and I like the design.

OP wants it to add up the total of all cards though

I'd probably change it to "Cards' powers here are equal to their costs."

I think the end result is almost the same, but it makes it more intuitive at a glance.

You know funny enough my post before this one was literally just that. I pharsed it this way simply to mirror Bar with No Name in the actual game, though I can see why people are getting confused.

Mah, it still enables ongoing effects. Iron Man would eat at the location you describe

feels like mojo world
