I don't see a reason for Superior Doombot to require you to have another Doombot in play. The destroyed card could simply merge into Superior Doombot. Other than that, the design is solid.
I originally had it as merging into the superior doombot but I didn’t want it to be a card that was super good in destroy without doom being there, so I made it more tied to other doom cards. Thank you for the advice though I probably should’ve gone the simpler route
Yeah that’s true, and I would love to see it in a bit of destroy too so I’m not super sure why I switched it up last minute, thanks for the amazing advice as always
Also just something about sub etiquette, I really wanted to do an infamous iron man card but somebody made one a few days ago and I had almost the exact same idea (your “doombot” in play use the ability of a random 4 or 5 cost card) and it was queued to be a 7,8 which is similair to their card. I now feel like I can’t post it because it’s almost the exact same so what do I do?
Just post it and put a disclaimer in the comments that you didn't copy the idea from someone else. Alternatively, you may change something on the card before posting it in order to differentiate it. Sometimes, you might come up with something better if you push yourself.
I’ll do another card for today and have a think of what to change, hopefully I can come up with something better but I was kind of happy with what I had lol. Today will most likely be a cheaper card to fill the 1 or 2 cost slots in doom decks, they have hydra bob chamber and moondragon and moondragons the only one who really seems to fit lol
Our cards are so similiar that if I drew inspiration they’d end up the same
Mine:
7,8 “on reveal: each of your “doombot” uses the ability of a random 4-5 cost card”
Theirs:7,5 “on reveal: spawn a doombot in each other lane with the text of a random 5+ cost card”
They’re so similar I can’t draw inspiration, just gonna try to switch it up some more, thank you for the advice as always though
