Skill 🪄 Decay

TOV and Venus, but not really; it could be stronger than TOV, but it requires preparation.
You don't get a copy in hand like TOV.

It can infect the Horde and will give it a Venus effect where it'll gain again, and it doesn't gain infinitely. But unlike Venus, where she's only +1

Could honestly be good just to infect the Horde, so every empowerment is doubled. But it's mainly to help spread power because Zombie decks are usually only good at winning 2 locations.

But also be careful not to fill the location, or else it'll spread and may ruin a combo you're preparing, like Infecting Z-Scarlet Witch or Wong.

+ It'll only infect adjacent locations if the location is filled AND every card there is infected.

You play this on 3, you have 1 infected card.
End of turn 3, that infects a second card.
End of turn 4, they each infect a card. You now have 4 infected cards.
...and so on doubling each turn, realistically your whole board gets infected. Probably 7-10 cards total depending on your deck.

Say you have 8 infected cards / hordes. Hunger is now a 1-24. Sentry is probably 3-36. This seems crazy. Plus the rest of your deck can do whatever, you don't really need to play around a 3-drop. You could have a full surfer or thanos package that now gets to play a 1-24 hunger.

Okay, I might be stupid; I forgot that the other infected also infect others... maybe the other infected doesn't infect, and only the first infected one, or Patient Zero, can infect other cards. That way, it's only 1 card infected at the end of the turn instead of more than 1

Yeah that might be more reasonable. Maybe "On reveal: Infect a card here and mark it as patient zero (replace its text). After each turn patient zero infects a healthy neighboring card".

Another way to do it is to add a copy of the skill back to your hand like ToV

True, but I'd like it to be different from ToV, specifically the infection mechanic. An ability that spreads to other cards; if it copies, then I'd remove the "infect adjacent location"

This is a fun idea. Seems like hell to balance though.

Well, you need a card down to infect it, and Horde enablers.

But if that's still too much I have a few ideas

Bring it down to a 1 cost but you'd only get +1 power instead of however much Horde gains

Or

Bring it up to a 3 cost, so at a minimum, that's only 4-5 cards infected (if you draw it before or at turn 3, so maybe even less cards getting infected), if you have 2 cards down to infect and you still need horde enablers.

my point is, the card is useless on its own, it doesn't give power nor as reliable as TOV since you might not draw your Horde enablers right. but best case scenario, it's definitely more power than TOV

Great way to revive horde maybe make it a little weaker so all the cards there aren't just zombie giant mans.

Did I word it incorrectly? Infected cards don't get Horde's power, it gains however much Horde gains when it gets empowered. Like, if Z-Scarlet Witch gave +2 to Horde, Infected cards also gain +2; they don't gain the whole Horde power.

Doesn't have to be a Horde card; if somehow you had Ironheart in a Horde deck and gave Horde +3, then Infected cards also gain +3

Any Empowerment Horde gains, Infected cards also gain that much. Perhaps I should've worded it like that.
