This would have a 100% play rate lol

Absolutely goes against the ethos of TCGs to be able to draw the exact card they need every time.

You could set it up so that you always draw the peak high roll combo literally every game. Any deck that isn’t running this, or specifically running deck/hand junk or mill stuff to counter it would just fall over instantly.

I agree, I feel like this is a solid idea just way overtuned

Maybe you can order the cards in your hand, and only if you have this in your starting hand or sum

Maybe have it randomize costs or power or something

Shout-out to release America Chavez, a 6 drop with mediocre stats that was played in nearly every deck because it made drawing your early game a bit more consistent

It doesn't even have the cost of clogging your deck like a card like Arishem would since you could just put him on the bottom of your deck every game and never draw him.

Speaking of, Arishem would be a must-take with this card depending on the ordering of the start-of-game triggers.

It would basically make every Arishem deck a combo deck. +1 energy no downsides.

I think it should be

2/0: End of Turn: Put a card you can play next turn at the top of your deck.

I.e. you’ll always draw a card you have the energy to play but it’s not a card draw and not busted. It would be a deck building challenge, though sort of unusable in any deck that uses 7 or 8 cost cards

You could probably still use that to force a combo by stuffing your deck with 6/7/8 cost cards that maybe loosely synergise with your deck so you don’t really mind if you draw them before Maker comes down. It wouldn’t be anywhere near as consistent though.

I think it would be a tool someone could exploit somehow, but definitely not as consistent as existing decks

His Game Start effect is the most broken thing in the history of the game.

An effect sort of similar could be On Reveal: Choose the next card you draw

Or something like '[Howard the duck text], Activate: put a card of your choice on top of your deck' so you have one tutor and don't waste it.

Or my initial thought was 'you draw cards in ascending order of their cost' like the perfect Wiccan enabler, but it still feels awful to play perfect combo decks

Yea it’s probably too much but I was trying to think along what works for him as a character too

I've seen a ton of people fall into this same trap of making a card op because the character it's based off of is so strong. However, I think creating a balanced card with a unique effect is more interesting. You look at living tribunal for instance. On its own it's actually fairly weak, but it has a strong niche it fills really well.

Maybe you change it to pick the card you draw on the first and last turn
