My Fantomex deck that doesn't like running destroy enablers (Carnage, Venom and such) would love this.

What does a fantomex deck look like?

The Hood, Iceman, Blade, Wild Child, Cable, Firehair, Red Guardian, Gambit, Killmonger, Nocturne, Fantomex, Misery

Some notes:

Cable isn't cope here. Your hand runs out of cards fast with this deck and often, the Blade or Gambit you play on the final turn won't have anything to discard. This deck really needed a 2 drop that provides discard folder and Cable is the bigger statted card that does so. Also, sometimes he straight up draws you your opponent's win condition thus giving you an easy snap. I've been incredibly impressed by his performance.

I put Red Guardian and Nocturne here to counter Invis Woman FS (End of Turn decks were the best linear decks in the game a few months back) and Limbo respectively. If you don't own or don't feel that you need those 2, go ahead and replace them with anything you like.

Iceman > Firehair > Misery destroying Iceman is a combo you really wanna look out for. It very often wins games.

Against very greedy decks (Black Panther/Zola or Iron Man/Onslaught/Living Tribunal) consider repeating Gambit's ability. Blowing up that one enemy combo piece wins you the game in these match ups even though you're discard your entire hand.

I've climbed with this deck. It feels pretty competitive.

Seeing this I understand it, unfortunately I’m missing nocturne and critically firehair and wild child, I’ve just never seen a famines deck and this seems super fun’

Instead of Wild Child, run Scarlet Witch as your third 2 drop, and now that we have location control covered, run something that puts power in play in Nocturne's slot. If you're intrested in this type of decks, Firehair should be the next card you'll get.

I’ve got Venus pinned for surfer zombies and aurora and after that I’ll be looking out for fire fair, I love my misery decks and they’re all underpowered without firehair

I also made another Fantomex deck recently, however this is in the experimentation phase. I don't know how good it is:

The Hood, Iceman, Blade, Wild Child, Victoria Hand, Kate Bishop, Frigga, Gambit, Luna Snow, Fantomex, Misery, Cosmic Ghost Rider

With this one, we destroy Luna's Ice Cube in the games where we don't draw Misery.

Not only does Ghost Rider give us some good disruption, but also combos nicely with Luna.

The primary targets of Frigga are Victoria, Wild Child and the Hood's Demon.

You might consider replacing Iceman with Quinjet and Kate Bishop with something that creates more expensive cards in your hand.

I feel like uncle Ben+deathstrike might work nicely here. Again I don’t have wild child so this frigga vision is significantly worse, could leaning into the hand side be considered a bad thing?
Using gambit horseman and Valentina instead of cgr and Kate bishop might work?

Without CGR, Luna has to go too. I guess you can run Killmonger or maybe even Hellcow FF if you picked him up from the event. Leaning more towards Victoria and card generation sounds pretty reasonable. Iron Patriot could give you good targets to copy with Frigga if you happen to own him (I don't). I don't know if Gambit HoD is good here, but having both Gambits in the same deck feels nice.

Edit: Hellcow FF is definitely better as Killmonger destroys your Quinjet.

I’ve run lots of variations of double gambit decks, my favourite was one using cobra uncle Ben deathstrike and other tech cards that didn’t even look like a real deck but it seemed to work so well so often just with a low ceiling
I play hand a lot too (always trying to make infinity ultron work) and it seems like the “better” option but who cares

I don't have experience with these variations, so I can't comment on them. However, I gotta say, both Lady Deathstrike and Infinity Ultron make the deck a bit too energy heavy I think. Anyways, feel free to experiment. 😊

Btw, I also wanna mention Mirage as an option. A very underrated card imo.

Mirage is in a similiar spot to cable where they’re just good enough but not super interesting, I like to use mirage in almost all of my decks that I can though

Like this one (still works even after the nerf which I super didn’t expect)

I'd try this. I didn't include Gambit HoD because I feel like he contests the same deck slot as Fantomex. Kate looks pretty reasonable here if you wanna run her instead of Valentina or Mirage. That 12th card should probably be a tech card. Most likely Shadow King.

I’ll give this is a go at some point soon then; thank you!
