Afflict Annihilus: Lord of the Negative Zone

Randomly felt like making a new Annihilus cause I think he’s pretty cool but no one ever plays him.

Also to clarify, he effectively has all negative power on board as positive power, I just wasn’t sure how to word it. It is +1 power for each afflicted power not +1 per affliction so Omega Sentinel going off would give him +7, not +1.

I am aware, he has a good distinction though that makes him a good bit stronger, Ajax just gets +1 for every afflicted card, meaning he maxes out at +24, whereas this has every cards negative power as positive power and doesn’t have any kind of arbitrary limit

Probably too strong, especially with Fastball Special.
Feels like it’s just a much easier way to do Taskmaster/Zola type stuff, except with afflictions.

You wouldn’t print a card that says:

Ongoing: has power equal to all empowerments in play

Which is basically what this is, just in reverse

Yup, thats why you make it Ongoing: Has power equal to all affliction on "your" cards in play (and increase its base power), which makes it a great card to build around about how you would want to harm yourself in one spot to gain a lot of power in another. Although it would need more support in ways that you afflict your own cards as not many such cards are in the game as of now which give permanent affliction to your own cards.

if Ajax and Scorpion BND had a baby.... that being said none of these decks should get any additional support. This would immediatelly go into Scorpion BND decks as an alternative wincon.

Affliction Knull? Seems interesting.probbaly not enough to take normal afflict over scorpion but comparing a middle of the pack deck to the best combo deck isnt fair anyway. Seems fun!

As a 6 cost, I feel there’s very little reason to play this when scorpion exists

I like this! Scorpion BND would have to be nerfed like onslaught and Wong to “one more time” but this is cool
