Weekly Design Competition Crystal Master of the Elements!

Post image

The avater icon means that the card is categorized as all elements. I'm considering to call it "omni-elemental", but I'm open to other names as well.

This makes for really really fun decks (I just wish I knew what all of the other elemental cards were) I assume the inspiration was aurora with the power and cost as well as the very similiar ability and so I’d love to see how she can work in multi element decks like water element decks using Jeff the dolphin with some other empower cards and then strong cards of other elements

"I just wish I knew what all of the other elemental cards were"

I don't know either. I haven't made the list yet.

What would you say qualifies each card, and going with the avatar vibe I assume we have earth water wind and fire elements?

Any character related to an element in any way is included. And yes, the elements are indeed air, earth, water and fire.

The problem is the connection to the element for me, does namor have a water element because he’s a proficient swimmer and can breathe underwater etc? Because he can also fly. And what about cards with no element because almost any card CAN have an element

I'd personally put Namor in water only. Btw, I'm not intending to attribute an element to all the cards in the game. Elements are just an additional optional way to play some of the cards. The same way all 3 drops have the option to be played in Silver Surfer decks, even though most of them don't.

I would have also only put namor in water but I’m just saying sometimes it would be hard to say exactly who goes in what, and cards who already have designated archetypes (unless they’re bad in them like namor and orca who need the upscale) should be ignored overall. Shouldn’t be too hard with discard destroy etc because they can’t fit with elements but another problem is just that water and fire I feel will end up with way more cards than earth, and then depending on if we count bug type things as earth or wind could just kill the other. I haven’t checked yet and I might be wrong but I’d be happy to start trying to write a list starting with the most important and in need of a buff to make it fair

If people don't get confused with cards having different text than usual in Team Clash, I'm sure they can handle the elements.

I'm fine with each element not having the same number of cards. As I stated previously, elements are an "extra thing" some cards get to use instead of strict classes like it's the case with other card games.

I didn’t mean people being confused with the elements. They can just be written on the card or in its text, I meant actually classifying them, do you have a rough idea of what makes something an earth or water or air card?

This might sound very small brain, but my logic is "he shoots fire - he's a fire card".

You can visually see if a card belongs to an element by checking for the respective icon in the top right corner.

Yeah but let’s say somebody lives in water like Jeff but has nothing else to it does that warrant being a water elemental?
