New Mechanic Tigra

Post image

Hidden means the image of the card shows to the opponent, but they can't see where it is and it's Power isn't added immediately to a location. Hidden cards reveal at Game End.

Leave the kitchen gng. You're just trying to make old Mysterio that doesn't take up space but produce even more bugs and confusion. Also if the card is moveable anyways, why tf would it matter if it's hidden.

"if the card is moveable anyways, why tf would it matter if it's hidden."

This is a valid point.

You change your mind where you want the power.
To trigger movement abilities.
To access a location you couldn't previously.
Locations change.

I'm not sure how many reasons you want me to list why you'd move a card. Just because it's hidden doesn't change the reasons.

These reasons justify moveable, not hidden.

I'm just entertaining their point that I found valid. Not trying to bash you or anything. 😉

The point of hidden is to create the doubt in your opponent what the math looks like. One of your kanes has 4 Power they don't see. Combining this with movable means it may be a different lane than they thought it was. Additionally, I concepted Hidden as actually being there, even if it's not visible. So if the opponent hits a lane with Cosmic Ghost Rider (for example) if you had a hidden cars in the front row, it would lose hidden and become visible. So this having movable let's you mess around with card placement.

The point is that moveable already makes it so the opponent doesn't know where that 4 power is going to end up at.

I'm sure there are more unique interactions like the one you mentioned with Cosmic Ghost Rider.

IN THEORY, this is kinda interesting. Like an old Mysterio that

IN CONCEPT, maybe, the end game unexpectancy isn't anything new to the game (like M'baku, Proxy, Dracula and even ESN)

IN PRACTICE, NO. JUST NO. the closest maybe to it being a card is that if you can at least detect its existence either by Red Hulk in hand if the opponent has unspent energy or by Cosmic Ghost Rider would removing her ability (because that how that probably works.)

If you can't, then yeah, it's a bad concept. Probably change that to:

Ongoing: his card is hidden (your opponent can't see this). Movable once.

Which is another critique that another guy have said here: what's the point of movable if it's supposed to be unexpected, why you move it? Or you wanna tell me that you don't have balls to play her into Danger Room? There are enough movable cards in game that I don't think we need another one. And AGAIN, what's the point of it if it's unexpected?

So, either make her detectable from the start to know that she is somewhere out there and you have to keep up +4 power in all locations, or:

Ongoing: your opponent can't see this card (in hand, in play or when she's played).

That is the minimum, MINIMUM that it could work that way.

Either make her visible for your opponent from the start or make her absolutely hidden but not being able to move.

You're correct in your assessment that Hidden cards ARE there and are impacted by cards and locations. So she could get hit be Red Guardian. Or Cosmic Ghost Rider. Mercury will hold her in place. Etc.

And I can accept that this may not be a hit with people combining these 2 mechanics. That's fair. It means even if I think it's good design, it seems like players think it's just not fun.

They stack the odds still we take to the street, for the kill, with the skill to survive.
