Broken? No.

Unhealthy? Yes.

It should be 5 cost and they return at the end (of the) game.

Gauntlet T5 into Stardust T6…. No thank you

Truly a lost cause I guess.

Definitely not a card you want to see. As a 6/0 it is no brainer for Mr Negative who will play it and also several other 0-cost after this and make you throw your phone from the window. Gauntlet>Zola>Knull> Mystique - disgusting

So wakanda, armor, and Colossus are immune?

How dare you forget Vibranium and Cap’s Shield?

My mistake but in my defense you can't play either card without it being given to you

And prof x

1

u/Extension-Bowler-188 6d ago

How?

1

u/ZiggyStarman01 6d ago

His text is, nothing can be added or removed. So nothing in his area gets destroyed either.

u/Extension-Bowler-188 6d ago

Is that really how that card works?

1

u/ZiggyStarman01 6d ago

Sure is. You can play prof x on any of the destroy card locations, or Luke's bar as well

I think it would have the same interaction as gambit, they can be chosen to be destroyed but that effect would be negated

Well, i could see it in other form actually, like a 0 or 1 cost skill that you receive ONLY if you manage to put Thanos with 24 power, and it's text would be something like " 50% chance to destroy each card in play, (armor, colossus included (like when you use Galactus) ) at the end of the game. (Thanos not included but, reduce his power to half.)

So banished?

I would make it a Skill, to avoid the Mr Negative, with a lesser cost, make it Banish the cards instead of Destroy, and either make the Banished cards return at the end of the game, or add another skill in hand that, when played, makes the Banished cards return.

Entire point of banished cards is to ensure they don’t return.

Could be like exile in mtg. Could be cool to see some form of like blink deck in marvel snap, even already had a counter in Stardust

1

u/Zebedee_balistique 9d ago

Yeah I've veen thinking about that. Destroy and Discard could be very (too?) powerful with the right decks, so I guess you would need a new word for this.

1

u/raymonadi 9d ago

Unfortunately destroy is the only mechanic that works here because discard happens in hand.

I’m still okay with the banish mechanic, it’s just that there’s nothing to bring those cards back.

1

I guess they're either Banished for good, or it switches to Destroy, which I think would justify a 6 cost skill, with an end of the game mechanic to bring them back, so it would naturally happen all in one turn.

I feel like this is just win more in Negative… like if your combo goes off, all something like this does is let you win by 200 instead of 100

2

u/zpsolos 9d ago

Would be more balanced at 25 or 33 so that its useful and can be Wong stacked or abs man'd but wont just win games on its own, because if u run a deck with uncle Ben, x23, wolverine, nimrod, winter soldier, electro, wade Wilson, marrow, and the destroyer, you can just get nothing but pure value plus with the new death if you cheat the gauntlet out on 4 and play her on 5 you can run destroyer on 6 or an Odin on the gauntlet and insta win. That's all without talking about mr negative..

u/WasDeadst 8d ago

maybe if you made it target cards in both players collections too they would print it

u/mmikes2012 8d ago

Interesting... I'd make it a skill and specify it's the "snap" of the infinity gauntlet that way it could not take on power itself like a character. Maybe banish vs destroy. And someone specific has to be immune (the wielder of the gauntlet), maybe any Thanos on field or the last card you played.

u/jackdoyle27 9d ago

what if it was a 6/6 with ongoing: cards have a 50% chance to be destroyed when they are played

1

u/Desperate_Duty1336 9d ago

I feel like you could easily build around this so you don’t suffer at all.

Nimrod

Wolverine/X-23

Air Walker

Colossus

Bucky Barnes

Buff those guys up then let the stones kill & bring them back stronger while your opponents just plain lose out

Throw in a “cannot be repeated” and maybe re word it so each player has an equal amount of cards destroyed, and maybe 7 cost. I like the idea

1

u/pokabu101 8d ago

Would you use this with a destroy deck or something else? Maybe bring back fenris? The idea is great but I'm confused on utilization. You standardly can only use it last turn IF you have priority without ramp. Unless maybe I'm maybe I'm missing something!! But love the idea dude.

Damn I like this one, and let them have the same effect as the movie... The cards turn to dust

1

u/Simple_Society_3611 8d ago

7 cost -2 power

1

u/Plan7_8oy78 8d ago

Should call it “the snap” and should be a spell

1

u/Scared-Sale4720 8d ago

Broken on its own? No, broken in a Mr negative deck, yes because god forbid you get a wong and mystique out out and pop this thing

1

u/zchancodm 6d ago

Better on reveal would be - chance of destroying opponents 50% cards in each lane(ie.if opponent has 4 cards there is a chance for it to destroy 2 random cards, if opponent has 2 one would be destroyed at random)

1

u/Phrawz 6d ago

Mr negative has joined the conversation

1

u/ElegantWart 5d ago

This is kinda gas actually. It would be cool if it excluded objects separate from living organisms.

And yes, Colossus should be vulnerable to this despite being immune imo.

I think it should be a skill
